Red Husky Corporation, operating as Red Husky Production ("Red Husky", "we", "us"), is a video production company based in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information, in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Who is responsible
Our Privacy Officer is accountable for how we handle personal information. You can reach them at info@redhuskycorp.com.
What we collect
- When you contact us: your name, email address, phone number, company, role and anything you include in your message.
- When we work together: contact and billing details, project briefs, and materials you share with us, such as footage, maps, decks and data.
- When you are filmed: your image, voice and likeness, and the details on any release form you sign.
- When you visit this site: we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and this site does not set cookies. Our web host may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to keep the site secure and running.
Why we collect it
- To answer your questions and prepare proposals and quotes
- To plan, film, edit and deliver your project
- To invoice, keep business records and meet our legal and tax obligations
- To send you news about our work, only if you have agreed to receive it
We only collect what we need for these purposes, and we do not use your information for anything else without asking you first.
Consent
By contacting us or working with us, you consent to us using your information for the purposes above. People who appear on camera give consent through a signed release before their image is published. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@redhuskycorp.com, subject to legal or contractual limits. Withdrawing consent may affect our ability to deliver a project.
Who we share it with
We never sell or rent personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that help us run the business, such as email, cloud storage, file transfer, accounting and editing collaborators. They may only use it to provide their service to us and must protect it.
- Our clients, when it is part of the project you took part in, for example a film you appear in.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Some of our service providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States. Information stored there may be accessed under the laws of that country.
Third-party services on this site
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts and code libraries from public content delivery networks (jsDelivr and cdnjs). When your browser requests these files, those providers receive your IP address and browser information. If we embed videos from YouTube or Vimeo, those platforms may set their own cookies when you play a video. Their privacy policies apply to that information.
Email updates
We follow Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We only send marketing emails to people who have agreed to receive them or where the law otherwise allows it. Every marketing email includes our contact details and a way to unsubscribe, and we honour unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it. Inquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 24 months. Business and billing records are kept for at least six years, as required by Canadian tax law. Project footage and releases are kept for as long as the film is in use.
How we protect it
We use reasonable physical, organizational and technical safeguards, including password-protected and encrypted accounts, limited access and secure file transfer. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care to protect what you share with us.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. Email info@redhuskycorp.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 without a parent or guardian's consent.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
